How might we allow ourselves to neglect or disregard or even minimize this sacrifice? For all our fantastic designs for the church, for contemporary love, for being missional, for associating with the recent college grads, for interfacing with the "nones" and presently for interfacing with Generation Z, we ought to never make light of that consecrated foundation given by our conciliatory Christ for His congregation. Communion matters—more than we may might imagine.
Florida Christian Churches leaders long to extend the confidence of their parishioners, just as to cause sound connections and grow the congregation's effort to the more extensive world. We realize that each great undertaking requires supplication for both information and acumen so we may execute genuine plans. We long to bear great fruit that will last, as we look to the Lord and submissively look out for Him.
I say "Without a doubt" to all that. Yet, some zealous leaders and houses of worship are missing something—something so huge it is extraordinary that it is being missed. Have we disregarded, or even neglected, a consecrated practice that is a piece of what makes the congregation, indeed, the congregation? We have. That missing component is Communion or the Lord's Supper.
We could consider the specific nature or mysticism of Communion and how Christians differ on this. There is a period for these conversations, yet this isn't that time. We could take a look at measurements on the logical impacts of noticing Communion and on which custom's Communion services are generally well known. But, we won't. Rather, I will focus on how Communion grounds the congregation in God's living reality.
